Kenzie ate most of her dried mango bits and about half of her cinnamon toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate no sweet potatoes, bites of her burrito (mostly the meat) and all of her tropical fruit.
Kenzie was saying several of the kiddos names today (as well as "Gary"). She was saying "Emmy" as she pointed to her and watched what she was doing. She also was pointing to Bode and saying "BoBee". It was really cute!
Morgan was building with the big iinterlocking blocks today and Kenzie was standing there watching her with a puckered brow and her arms crossed. Gary and I decided she must have been the foreman for the building site! : )
Kenzie was going in the "new" climber's door then crawling out its window over and over this morning. She was also doing lots of peeking around things and giving usher cheesy grin. What a little cutie!

Kenzie didn't eat much at either breakfast or lunch today -- just a couple bites of cinnamon bites and a bite of dried plums at breakfast and a couple bites of scrambled eggs and a bite of waffle at lunch (no hahsbrowns or cantaloup). She did drink a lot of her juice. I actually can relate. Eating just doesn't sound real good in the heat of summer.
Kenzie was standing on the little step looking out the big window at the street sweeper this morning. She stepped back off of the step and stumbled, but didn't hit anything. I commented that she had crashed. She then got up grinning, walked over to one of the big blocks laying on the floor, bent over and intentionally bonked her head on it, saying "Bonk!" The goofy little girl! : )
She was quite fiesty this morning before breakfast. She kept trying to take toys away from Morgan and Emily and got quite upset with me when I wouldn't let her get away with it! She also was hitting Emily on the top of the head. I firmly told her "No hitting. Be gentle!" She then leaned her head over to put it gently on Emily's shoulder. It was pretty cute!
Because of her testiness, I put her down for a morning nap and she was asleep within 2 minutes, so that was probably what was up with her. She napped for almost an hour and then was excellent the rest of the morning.

Kenzie ate most of her raisins and bites of brown rice at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her dried apricot bits, most of her french bread, about half of her cooked carrots and a bite of meatloaf.
Kenzie was having so much fun harassing Gary and working to get him to bug her back. As soon as Gary stretches out on the floor to relax his back, Kenzie is right there climbing on him, wrestling him and tickling him. She actually says, "tickle-tickle-tickle" as she moves her fingers toward him. It is so adorable.
Kenzie was walking around randomly saying "Wow!" and "Uh-Oh!" today both inside and outside. It is so cute. Sometimes it was to one of us, but mostly it was just to herself as she strolled around doing her thing.
Kenzie was trying to give Thomas a love today, but she is pretty tentative about it. She knows from experience that he is a grabber and can be kind of rough, She really likes him, so she usually gives him one shot at a love anyway. : )
Gary did bubbles for the kiddos to chase today. Kenzie joined in and one of the big bubbles popped right in her face. Those kinds of things don't really phase her, though. another example is when she bonked her head in the toy shelf. Gary made the mistake of chuckling so she went over and started to bonk it on purpose and laugh at herself. Silly girl!

Kenzie ate bites of her cinnamon toast and seconds on grapes at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on canned cherries, all of her dinner roll, about half of her chicken and no mashed potatoes.
Kenzie loves to make sure baby Peyton is well entertained. She is constantly takiing her toys to play with when she is lying or sitting on the floor. Peyton loved it until she gets too buried. : )
The last several days, Kenzie has been going around the corner, sitting in the big block shelf and taking off her shoes. Today Gary noticed when she was in the middle of it and said something. She hurriedly finished taking it off and put it behind her back. She is a smart little whooper!
Gary asked her why she didn't say "Papa" for grandpa when he was here and she immediately said, "Hi, Papa!" with a big grin on her face. She said it later also, out of the blue. She is such a little tease!
Kenzie and Joslyn were playing peek-a-boo in their favorite spot again today. Today I watched as it got started and it is so funny. Kenzie headed over and sat in the clothes deal then waited with a big grin of anticipation on her face as Joslyn followed her over. As soon as Jozie moved around the corner between the dress-up deal and the yellow chair, Kenzie started chuckling. They played for about 10 minutes until something distracted Joslyn. It sure is cute to observe.

Kenzie ate all of her peaches and most of her whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate about half of her corn and all of her salad and homemade macaroni and cheese.
Kenzie hasn't pooped yet today and didn't take a morning nap. I don't remember if I told you, but she did poop both of the other days (during her afternoon nap). She was in a great mood this morning without the nap.
Kenzie and Joslyn were really cute today playing peek-a-boo with each other around the dress-up deal. Kenzie was inside and Joslyn out around the corner. Kenzie would pull the vests and other dress-up clothes that were still hanging up on the hooks over her face then "Peek" out of them at Joslyn. When Kenzie was bing a little slow for Joslyn, she would pull the material out away from Kenzie and "peek" at her instead. They were both chuckling and squealing like crazy!
Today out of the blue Kenzie came over, climbed up onto me and flopped herself backwards for me to tickle. As soon as I started walking my fingers up her tummy she started laughing hard. When I would stop she grabbed my hand and put it back on her tummy to do it again. She is such a fun-loving little girl!

Kenzie ate all of her pears and about half of her blueberry muffin at breakfast before she started tearing it apart and trying to throw it on the floor. We have been trying to catch her in the act then give her a reminder, show her where her food goes and telling her if she does it again she will have to be done. If she does it again we just calmly say, "All done", take her plate, see if she wants more to drink then wash her up. It seems to be working pretty well. At lunch she ate tastes of tuna, orange bits and sweet potatoes and seconds on saltines.
Kenzie didn't take a morning nap and did great -- sleeping in helps with that. : ) She was in a great mood, but went to sleep almost immediately after lunch.
Today Kenzie and Joslyn went "shopping" together. At least that was what it looked like when they went over to the dress-ups and started trying things on together. They would look at each other or go over to the mirror and look at themselves. There were chuckles and smiles and it was really cute!
Kenzie was mouthing everything again today. Teething will do that to a kiddo! : ) One of the things she had was a play apple hanging out of her mouth by the stem and then one of the play medical ear examination instruments mostly in her mouth.
Outside she was picking up the tiny apples that are dropping off of the neighbor's tree and bringing them to me again. It is so cute! She would hand be a set then say, "More" and head back over to the tree to collect anouther handful.

Kenzie ate all of her Chex cereal and seconds on fruit salad at breakfast. At lunch she ate no tomato soup, a bite of her roast beef sandwich and all of her apple bits.
Kenzie did so well this morning for having a new baby in the home, grandparents visiting and all the excitement. We really couldn't even tell any difference, outside of her being extra interested in the "baby"s (dolls) today. She was her usual good natured, busy, smiley self. : ) She did ask for her binky a couple times this morning, but she often does that on Monday mornings anyway. She wasn't fussing about it and was all smiles as soon as we gave it to her. She only used it for a couple minutes after giving it to her then she spit it back out and was onto soemthing else.
Kenzie and Everson played together quite a bit today. Inside they were playing in and around the big block "house" that Gary had helped build. They were just handing out in it part of the time, but the highlight for Kenzie was when Everson was playing "peek" with her. She just loves that!
Outside Everson was playing in one of the little cars and inviting Kenzie to ride in it with him. She actually did get in and they sat together for a while before she decided to do something else. It was pretty cute!
Gary's back is better today and he was back up with us. I still did all of his lifting to be on the safe side, but it was great to have him back. All of the kiddos were thrilled and kenzie had to make sure she had her Gary time, attention and cuddles too.

Kenzie ate about half of her whole wheat toast and most of her mixed berries at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her tropical fruit and bean soup and seconds on both crackers and ham bits. She was super tired and actually fell asleep in her highchair. She hadn't fussed or anything before falling asleep.
Kenzie had a small poop before breakfast and that is all so far. She was a go-getter this morning so I didn't put her down for a morning nap, which is probably why she fell asleep at lunch.
Kenzie was so cute today. She climbed in the lego table drawer not long after we had pulled it out so most of the toys were still in it. She had one piece of lego in her mouth (kind of like a pipe) with toys in both hands, too. She is so funny!
Coral was laying on the floor playing with the kiddos this morning and Kenzie decided that she looked pretty inviting. She climbed on top of her, moved her hand off of her stomach and then plopped down where her hand had been! Coral held her head in here hands and was tipping her back against her legs and Kenzie was really chuckling at that.
Coral was helping the kiddos build with the big interlocking blocks and Kenzie was bringing her blocks and doing lots of "helping". Coral thought that was great!
Kenzie was as busy outside as in -- gettiing in the little cars, trying to find anything and everything to put in her mouth (we have to watch her like a hawk!) and then watching and chasing bubbles.
