Kenzie ate a bite of dried apricots and seconds on whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate about half of the pasta out of her pea and pasta salad, and bites of the peas, her baked fish and her applesauce.
Kenzie had a medium firm poop this morning. She took about an hour morning nap and she drank a lot of her juice.
Kenzie was very feisty again today. She was terrorizing pretty much everyone (except baby Thomas and baby Peyton). She was taking toys, trying to block Joslyn out of watching Gary set up breakfast at the gate, hitting, bonking kiddos on the head and elsewhere with toys... She just shocked Cypress when she clubbed him in the head with the block. He just started at her like, "How could you do that to me?" When I firmly told her "No! Hitting hurts! Use gentle touches!" He little lip came out and she either kept it out for a while or even started to cry once.
One other kiddo she wasn't being rough with was Bode. That's good because he would have been devastated since he just adores her. They were sitting side by side on the couch for a little this morning and Bode put his arm around her shoulder and said, "We're friends". Kenzie looked up at him lovingly like she totally understood what he said, which she probably did, actually! : )

Kenzie was too tired to stay up for breakfast (and quite testy) so I put her to bed at about 8:40. She napped until about 10:40. At lunch she ate all of her fruit and beef barley stew and bite of chopped salad and dinner roll.
Kenzie was really harassing Bode today and Bode asked for help. As soon as he did, Kenzie knew she was in trouble, but what was super funny was that she started making the sign and actually saying "Moo-baa" for 'move back'. I had never seen her do it before and it just cracked me up. : )
Kenzie kept bringing one of the play cups over to me and putting it up to my mouth to give me drinks. When I was distracted looking at something else she just kind of smashed it into my face! That should teach me! : )
Coral came to hang out not long before lunch and Kenzie was glad to see her. After lunch Coral was scooting Gary's stool over to her (it's on rollers) and kenzie was chuckling so cute! Coral also did it to Joslyn and Emily and Kenzie still chuckled! : )

Kenzie ate a bite of her blueberries and all of her raisin English muffin at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her potato salad, bites of her canned cherries, all of her chicken and thirds on saltine crackers.
We have been seeing some of Kenzie's feisty side lately. She has been walking by kiddos and just reaching out and kind of hitting them on the way by. After she gets by, she will often stop, turn around and look at them to see if they are going to react. She has also been trying to take toys away from the kiddos more often, and screaming right in their face. So she isn't mild all the time! : )
We had a small flock of birds feeding right in front of out big window this morning and Kenzie was thrilled! At first all the kiddos were watching them, but Kenzie, Morgan, Joslyn and Keenan watched until they were basically all gone. Every time a bird flew in or out of the group Kenzie would get very excited and make this screechy sound. Pretty soon both Morgan and Joslyn were imitating the sound. It was getting a little crazy loud so I went over and prompted her to say, "Wow!" She did it great. She still screeched a little, but "wow" was heard at least as much. : )

Kenzie ate a bite or two of her biscuit and seconds on peaches at breakfast. She took about an hour morning nap after that and hasn't had a poopy diaper yet (yesterday afternoons was probably enough to last for at LEAST a day! : ) At lunch she ate a bite of her steamed broccoli, about half of her dinner roll and most of both her pineapple tidbits and her baked beans.
Kenzie was hanging out by Peyton and talking to her then she decided to sit on her belly! Peyton didn't even fuss! She started to step on her head, but I got to her before she managed that, thankfully. I think even mild mannered Peyton would have objected to that! : )
Kenzie lost her shoe and I couldn't find it. As I was looking for it, I said, "Kenzie, where is your shoe?" more to myself than to her, actually. In less than a minute she had found it and brought it over to me. She handed it to me and sat right down in front of me for me to put it back on. It was really cute!
Kenzie loves looking out the big room window and today there was quite a bit of entertainment out there. First our little grade school neighbor girl was singing and dancing on the sidewalk as she waited for her older sister to join her to walk to school. Kenzie was laughing at her, waving, blowing her kisses and ducking down then peeking up over the window sill at her. A few minutes later there was a doe deer right across the street then walking up the street. Lots of excitement! : )

Kenzie didn't want to eat anything this morning -- hashbrowns and waffles -- so I put her to bed. She ate all of her shrimp, about half of her brown rice and bites of both orange bits and sauteed peppers at lunch.
Kenzie's nap was about an hour long this morning and she hasn't pooped for me either today or yesterday, but I think you said she did last night, so that should fine.
Kenzie went over to the big window and watched the rain come down. She also waved at no one quite a bit as she was looking outside too. : )
Kenzie is still pretty enthralled with little Thomas. What I think is the cutest is the way she goes over and pets his fine and poofy hair. It is so fine it feels like a feather and Kenzie obviously likes it just as much as I do! : ) She was also taking him toys and squatting down 'visiting' with him several times. It is so cute -- like she is being a little momma!
Kenzie was playing with the little people barn in the back room quite a bit today. She kept putting the animals in and taking them out of the barn compartments.

Kenzie was super tired this morning and didn't make it to breakfast. I put her down for her nap at 8:15 and she went right to sleep. She ate a sip of her tomato soup, several bites of her grilled cheese sandwich and seconds on apple bits at lunch.
Kenzie just followed me around until I put her to bed. She wasn't fussing, just wanted to be close, I guess. Or maybe she was trying to let me know that she was wanting to go to bed, I don't know.
Kenzie was enthralled with the new baby, Thomas. He is 9 months old, but still immobile. She kept bringing him toys and piling them in front of him, which was nice. She also kept coming over to him, squatting down and saying, "Hi!" Thomas seemed to like her attention also. She never was really in his space, just lose and bringing him things. Thomas also really liked her sparkly shoes. He has a big sister, so probably is used to cute stuff!
Kenzie spent most of her time either sleeping or close to Thomas, but she also took a little time to look at some books and carry around some toys. : )

Kenzie got fussy pretty early (just as you predicted) so she napped from 8:30 to about 10:15. Consequently, she didn't eat breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her noodle and pea casserole and about half of her ground beef and her applesauce. She hasn't pooped for us yet today--fist day this week, I believe.
Kenzie really was enjoying riding on the rocking horses this morning. She especially liked it when I helped her rock a little harder than she can do by herself. She was just chuckling! : )
Not long after Kenzie woke up we went outside and she love that, of course. She was playing with the small balls, carrying them around mostly, but also giving them to me to toss to her and bounce of my head to make her laugh.
She spotted a blooming dandelion in the neighbor's yard just on the other side of the fence and was determined to get it. She worked at it for about 5 minutes and was so proud when she finally got ahold of it and plucked the flower off. She held it and chuckled. I love the way she chuckles to herself over things like that. It is as if she is just so satisfied with herself!
By the way, I love her little crocs! I want a pair! : )

I kept Kenzie up for breakfast but she didn't want to eat any of her blueberries or blueberry bread pudding, and started fussing so I put her down for a nap. She slept for a little over an hour. At lunch she ate all of her green beans, about half of her kiwi and several bites of her turkey burger.
Kenzie walked by the window in the big room, waved and said "Bye" several times this morning. It was really entertaining, because she really wasn't even looking out there, just a glance and then the off-handed wave! : )
Her teeth must really be bothering her because she has been mouthing and chewing on everything from the little baby toys, to the play food to the doll blankets to the big blocks. It is amazing that she is fussy if they are bothering her that badly.
Kenzie loved to hide (or just hang out) in the block toy shelf. Sometimes she just goes in there and plays with whatever she has in her hand. Other times she will go in and then peek around the corner at anyone and everyone. I have also noticed that she had gone in there to poop a couple times too.
Kenzie pulled out her pony tail holders something during nap and when she got up she looked like a little wild thing with hair going every direction! A couple of the big boys even noticed! (and they are pretty oblivious to that kind of thing!)

Kenzie ate all of her dried mango bits and all of her toast with jelly at breakfast. At lunch she ate the most of the meat out of her burrito and all of her tropical fruit, no sweet potatoes that I saw.
Kenzie was so cute today putting on and taking off the cowboy hat over and over. She also went over and handed it to Bode then patted her head, wanting him to put it on her. He loved it and helped her right out!
Kenzie love to crawl into things. She was in and out of the big interlocking block building the kiddos and Gary had made several times. She was also in and out of the block table drawer LOTS! She is petty feisty about it too. If someone is in her way (on the way in or out) she just pushes on them until they either move or we intervene.
Kenzie figured out how to push the push and spin toys in the back room and was quite impressed with herself. She would make it go around then chuckle and look at me to make sure I was adequately impressed.
Kenzie took about an hour morning nap and had a small poopy diaper right before lunch (for Gary again).

Kenzie ate some of her cinnamon roll and no dried plums that we saw at breakfast. She was pretty fussy, so I put her down for a morning nap after breakfast. She woke up after less than an hour, but was in a much better mood than before he short nap. She pooped again (for Gary while I was setting up). : ) She's got this time down great lately! At lunch she ate hardly anything -- a couple bites os scrambled eggs and a bite of waffle is all I actually saw her eat. We also had melon and hashbrowns, but I didn't see her even taste those.
Kenzie accidentally got her foot stuck in one of the duplo house pieces this morning. At first she kind of got a kick out of it and was kind of marching around the big room grinning and looking at it. After a while the newness wore off and she started getting frustrated so I helped her get it off. When it was off she chuckled! : )
Kenzie got on the rocking horse today and Cypress was being a good friend and helping her rock it. She was really chuckling. I love her chuckle! It is so contagious. Cypress also really liked it and was glad to "make her happy".
Kenzie and Bode were both sitting on my lap after she woke up from her morning nap today. Kenzie kind of leaned over against him and Bode put his arm around her shoulder and leaned over and kissed her on the head. She make a cute little chuckle sound and leaned over even further. It was very sweet!

Kenzie drank a 6 ounce bottle this morning. She ate about half of her chex cereal and all of her mixed fruit at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her mandarin oranges and the ham out of her sandwich. She also ate a taste of broccoli and a couple bites of the ham sandwich.
Kenzie was very interested in checking out all of the "new toys". She kind of just walked around looking for the first half-hour, then started actually engaging in things more after that. One of the things she settled on playing with was the little tykes phone. She was both pushing the buttons that make phone sounds and also putting it up to her ear like she was listening to it.
Kenzie didn't take a nap this morning and did great. She also had two poopy diapers (one for me and one for Gary while I was setting up lunch!).
Kenzie did the cutest thing. She had one of the cowboy handkerchiefs and kind of draped it over her head and was strutting around like she was a princess with a crown on her head. I think it is so funny when they walk around like that. They know they are about the cutest things ever!.

Kenzie didn't eat much breakfast -- one bite of rice with milk and a couple bites of raisins. At lunch she ate all of her meatloaf, about half of her cooked carrots, a bite or two of french bread and a taste of dried apricot.
Keenan was sitting at the little picnic table and Kenzie went over to him and lay her head on his back, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him. It was adorable. Keenan got a little embarrassed looking and asked, "Hey! What you doing?" : )
Kenzie must have decided that she didn't like the big block building that we had build because she went over and started pushing and pulling the blocks until they started coming apart. She actually did a pretty good job of starting the demolition project and was just chuckling as they fell apart. Her friends saw what she was doing and were happy to come help, of course.
Bode just loves Kenzie. When she is sitting somewhere, he frequently goes over and just sits by her, gives her hugs, kisses the top of her head, or plays with her. Lately their favorite thing has been when Kenzie goes into the dress up deal and Bode will sit around the corner from it and behind the yellow chair. Kenzie then plays peek-a-boo with him around the dress up clothes and Bode responds just the way she likes. She just cracks up! : ) It is ADORABLE!

Kenzie ate all of her grape bits and bites of her cinnamon toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her chicken and a bite of everything else -- dinner roll, mashed potatoes and canned cherries. It cracked me up when I gave her a bite of potatoes. She took it just fine then make a horrible face and started taking the mush back out and giving it to me. : ) Goofy girl. She also drank 6 ounces of her bottle today.
Kenzie and Morgan were having a blast drumming on the little picnic table. They were really into it and it was pretty loud, but they were having so much fun, we couldn't interrupt the concert! : )
I have noticed that Kenzie has been a little more feisty this week. It started out that she was just defending her own ground (toys she was playing with, my attention...), but it has moved onto her trying to take toys away from others more. This happens mostly with Morgan, Joslyn and Emily. They all seem to go through this phase and we just consistently use the "Tell, Show, Help, Praise" strategy to teach them to "find another one" since we have multiples of everything.
Kenzie found one of the clown wigs and perched it up on top of her head. I helped her actually put it on then had her go look in the mirror and she really grinned!

Kenzie ate all of her peaches and a couple bites of whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her chopped salad with a little ranch, most of her corn and most of her macaroni and cheese with ham. She also drank all of her bottle before breakfast.
Kenzie didn't take a morning nap today and she played great. She wanted snuggled a couple times a little before breakfast, but other than that played steady and happily.
Kenzie has been chewing on everything lately -- because or her teeth probably. Today she was especially chewing on the pretend banana and the syrup bottle.
She was playing hide-and-seek/peek-a-boo multiple times today. One of the times was with me around the chair and another was around the toy shelf. She was also peeking with me in the mirror in the back room. Every time she would peek and spot me, she'd say "hi!" The absolute cutest one was when she was peeking at Emily who was still in her crib in the back room. They were both laughing so hard. It was adorable beyond description! : )
Keenan was sitting by me on the couch and watching me feed Kenzie her bottle this morning. He had this loving look in his eye and said, "She sure is cute!" I am afraid he is just one of the many admirers she will have in her life. Of course, even here he would have to fight Bode for her! : )

Kenzie drank almost 7 ounces of her bottle this morning before breakfast. At breakfast she ate bites of her blueberry muffin and seconds on pears. At lunch she ate a taste of sweet potatoes, a couple bites of oranges all of her tuna and thirds on saltines.
Kenzie pooped twice today (once a little and once regular) and took about an hour morning nap. She has been in an excellent mood -- really hasn't fussed at all.
Kenzie snuggled for about 15 minutes after she came today. She sat on my lap and watched everything that was going on around her with a half-amused look on her face. After that she got down and didn't stop going except to eat and sleep.
Kenzie did this clenching her fist and shaking all over things twice to day that I saw. It is so funny because a huge majority of the kiddos go through a phase where they do that. I have no idea why. They aren't angry or anything -- just experimenting with making their muscles shake, I guess.
Bode was thrilled today when Kenzie walked over to him with her arms out and lay her head against him giving him a huge love. Usually Bode is the one that initiates it and Kenzie willingly let him, but today it was at her initiative and it was so cute!
Cypress was laying on the floor in front of where Kenzie was sitting today and Kenzie started petting his hair and face. Cypress like that and had to make sure I saw what she was doing. : )

Kenzie went to sleep before breakfast today and then she ate all of her roast beef sandwich, about half of her apple bits and a sip of tomato soup.
Kenzie was obviously tired this morning. She wasn't really fussy or anything, but she was more cuddly and just had a dream look in her eye. She cuddled with both Gary and I at least once before I put her down for her morning nap.
Bode and Everson were both visiting with her and giving her loves this morning. She was the center of their attention for about 15 minutes today and she loved it! She was just chuckling and grinning from ear to ear.
Kenzie hasn't pooped for me yet today. She napped this morning for almost two hours.
Cypress was popping the toast and the egg up out of the toaster today in play. He loved it when Kenzie, Joslyn and Emily started cracking up when he did it. Kenzie also like it when Cypress was peeking up and around at me from the toy shelf in the back room.

Cypress was popping the toast and the egg up out of the toaster today in play. He loved it when Kenzie, Joslyn and Emily started cracking up when he did it. Kenzie also like it when Cypress was peeking up and around at me from the toy shelf in the back room.

Kenzie is such a little doll! I didn't think it was possible, but she just gets cuter every day, I swear. She doesn't even have to do anything special and she is just adorable and precious! : )
She drank 5 ounces of her bottle before breakfast then ate a couple bites of dried plums (prunes) and about half of her oatmeal. She won't let me feed her any with a spoon, but she ate it fine when I put little clumps of it on her tray and let her just eat it with her fingers. (Little goof ball!) At lunch she ate all of her biscuit, seconds on mandarin oranges and a couple bites of her tatertot casserole.
Kenzie was so funny today. She was sitting in the dress-up deal where she likes to play peek-a-boo out of. The problem was the kiddos had already unloaded all of the clothes out of it. She looked up and then all around, like what happened to my curtain? I had to take pity on her and hang up one of the robes for her to use. She was all smiles then and busy "peek"ing at everyone! : )
Kenzie repeatedly tried to put a curler in her pony tail today. She pulled on it so much that she pulled her ponytail holder actually out of her hair and I had to put it back in. Granted I made the mistake of putting a curler in to begin with that started the whole things, so I really am the culprit! : )
We are having a really hard time getting Kenzie to leave the dirt, leaves, and grass out of her mouth! Ugh! It was okay when she still had her mittens on, making it a little harder to get the stuff from point A to her mouth, but now she is almost constantly at it. I am hoping it is related to her teeth coming in and that it might decrease after that. Any good ideas? : )

Kenzie drank 7 ounces of milk in her bottle before breakfast. She didn't eat much of her breakfast then -- only a couple bites of french toast and a bite of melon. At lunch she ate all of her crescent roll, most of her canned turkey, a bite of dried mango bits and a taste of squash.
Kenzie has a fan! Bode has just been adoring her lately. He was giving her random hugs and kisses today and she really was liking it. She would lift her little face to him when he came over to kiss her on the forehead or cheek. After I had put her down for a morning nap Bode looked all around and asked, "Where my Kenzie go?" : )
Kenzie didn't fuss at all while I fed baby Peyton this morning. She did stand right beside me and look up at me with kind of disappointed eyes, as if to say "How could you?!" : ) But she did good. Maybe she is getting used to it.
Kenzie climbed into the drawer that stores all of the "peek-a-boo blocks" and was examining one after another of them. It was cute. It almost looked like she was looking for a certain block, because she would pick up one and look intently at it, then discard it and look at another.
We went outside again this morning and Kenzie loved it. She was busy exploring all over, but she also had to take some time to go over and cuddle with Gary off and on. It was cute because Gary was sitting on the ground leaning against one of the big balls and she went over and lay her head on his chest. Gary was thrilled! : )

Kenzie wasn't here for breakfast, but did drink 7 ounces of milk in her bottle this morning. At lunch she ate all of her ham slices, kiwi and crackers and about half of her bean soup.
Kenzie is just the cutest little thing ever! : ) It doesn't matter if she is just strolling around being cool and exploring, looking at us smiling, or engaged with some toy. She is just adorable!
She has figured out that sitting in the dress up hanging deal is a good place to play hide-and-seek. She was "hiding" in there then pulling of of the robes that were hanging up back and forth to hide behind. She was just chuckling and grinning all over. What a doll!
Bode was so glad to see Kenzie when she came today. He was giving her kiddos on the cheek and forehead. He was being so sweet and gentle, but still quite passionate. He put his hand on the back of her head to hold her in position. : ) She was loving it and when he walked away she followed after him with her little mouth all puckered up and ready for a kiss. : )
Kenzie didn't take a morning nap. We went outside, since it was very nice this morning. She was very busy and happy outside. She is such a little toughy! She crashed several times she never really cried, just kind of shook herself off and went on! She in that way inside and out, but really seems to like being outside!

Kenzie ate a bite or two of her dried apricot bits and all of her whole wheat mini bagel half at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her applesauce, quite a bit of her pea and pasta salad and all of her baked tilapia. She has been eating great since coming back from vacation! She also drank 6.5 ounces of her bottle this morning.
Kenzie did take a morning nap today. She was a little sensitive, wanted to snuggle more, and was yawning quite a bit. She napped for a little over an hour and was in an awesome mood when she woke up. She has such a great disposition. : ) She had a regular sized and consistency poop today.
She was looking at the books (of course), playing peek-a-book around the blocks with me and also with Joslyn. They were both chuckling and it was really cute.
I haven't been giving Kenzie snacks in between meals partially because she hasn't been fussy or acted like she needed/wanted then and partially because of the logistics of it. We can't have kiddos walking around with food because of the conflict it causes with the others as well as sanitation issues. It is also hard to give one kiddo something without offering the same things to everyone and then we would be feeding or cleaning up all the time. I am not ignoring your request, I just haven't found a very good way to handle it and it hasn't seemed like a necessity at this point. I have been offering something to her when she is done with each meal, but so far all she has wanted were a few raisins.

It is so nice to have a beautiful little Kenzie back. She did great today. She didn't get fussy or act like she was tired all morning, so I didn't put her down for a morning nap and she did wonderful. By the end of lunch she was wiped out though and had actually gone to sleep in her high chair. I got a picture.
Kenzie ate all of her craisins and about half of her bran flakes at breakfast. At lunch she ate a couple bites of her steamed cauliflower, about half of the tropical fruit (mostly pineapple bits) and seconds on cheese pizza.
Kenzie drank about 6 ounces of her bottle of milk this morning. She also had a good sized poop. She was just doing everything she was "supposed" to today! : )
Kenzie was impressed with the fake fish in the fish tube today. She kept looking at it off and on throughout the day and saying "Whoa!" over and over! : )
She really acted like she was happy to be back, very busy and exploratory. She was tasting play bananas, stacking the peek-a-boo blocks (got five tall before it crashed) and just checking everything out. She spent time looking at several books too.
She picked right back up from where she had left off as far as her being jealous of me feeding baby Peyton. That is basically the only time she fussed and Gary was able to comfort her and distract her until I was done, so that was great!
