Kenzie ate a bite or two of her cantaloupe and most of her french toast at breakfast before going down for a morning nap. At lunch she ate a bite of squash, most of her turkey and all of her crescent roll and dried mango bits.
When mom was leaving today we tried to get her to say "Bye" to her and she wouldn't do it, although she did wave at the window. When Emily's mom was leaving, she said, "Bye-bye" just as plain and clear as could be. Of course that was because no one was trying to get her to. It cracks me up how they will do that.
One of the big boys had tore apart the 'castle' that had been built with the big blocks so that the blocks were scattered all over that side of the room. Little tiny Kenzie went over then and stumbled her way through them over and over, crashing many times, but having the time of her life.
Kenzie gave Cypress a pretty good whop this morning and Cypress immediately stopped her with a "Hey! No hitting!" I think if we could just get all of the kiddos to do that she would quit doing it because she was pretty taken back and moved away from him.
Kenzie has been doing such a good job of saying "elp" and "elp me" when she wants something, especially if it is getting up or things relating to food. I have heard her say it with other things too, though. It really helps their frustration levels when they are able to verbally start expressing themselves.
She was so cute today putting hats on her head. She would put one on then prance around looking in the mirror and showing us with a coy little look on her face, chuckling all the while. She knows she is cute as a bug! : )
